Halloween with the Kids English Group

DSCN0212

Thursday 31st October is Halloween.

Celebrated by children in English-speaking countries such as America and the United Kingdom, who dress up as ghosts, witches and other spooky creatures.  Particularly in the USA, it is traditional for children to knock on their neighbour's doors and ask, "Trick or Treat?" and be given sweets or other treats.

The Young Learners and Kids English groups this week are learning some Halloween related vocabulary and will have the spooky holiday incorporated into their lessons.

Pictured are students from Giovanni XXIII School in Modica receiving their Movers certificates.

In the last scholastic year, teachers from English International School worked in the school delivering the Cambridge English Young Learners programme.  The school was the first middle school in Modica to offer a Cambridge Young Learners programme to their students.

In this scholastic year, the school will offer two Cambridge Young Learners programmes to its students; Movers and Flyers.

Well done to all!

Leonardo Da Vinci School - Ispica

Ispica Movers

Congratulations to our students from Leonardo Da Vinci School in Ispica on receiving their Cambridge Movers certificates.

In the last scholastic year, teachers from English International School taught for the first time in the Ispica school.  Ten fantastic young learners completed the course and then sat the Movers exam, which tests learner’s reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

Our teachers enjoyed this collaboration immensely and appreciated the school organisation and the facilities provided, including the use of the school’s computer lab.

We are very much looking forward to our next sessions with the students of Leonardo Da Vinci, Ispica and would like to say a big WELL DONE to those pictured receiving their certificates alongside our school’s Director, Catherine Ciancio and Leonardo Da Vinci’s Head Master Michele Di Pasquali.
